Storrs Hall

The Hindle family purchased Storrs Hall in 1997, and it is now under the caring eye of Mark Hindle, who is committed to preserving the historic splendour of the hall, whilst ensuring his guests enjoy all the comforts of contemporary, informal luxury. It retains the intimacy and individuality of a family owned hotel which makes it the perfect fit within the HRH Collection.

About Storrs Hall

Wrapped in 17 secluded acres of lakeshore grounds it makes the most of those long views along lake Windermere, the accommodation at Storrs rises to the challenge set by its location.

The Grade II* listed main house, utterly unique 17th century Lakeland stone Boathouse, and contemporary Lakeside Suites that wrap you in the natural world. In all it provides 36 rooms and suites, offering a generous choice of accommodation to suit all tastes.

Children of all ages are welcome, the spacious Deluxe rooms in the main house are ideal for families of 2 adults and 1-2 children up to the ages of 12, after the age of 12 we recommend a separate room for the children – we do have some interconnecting rooms ideal for families.

Each room is unique as we have retained the original Georgian and Victorian architecture, and have either additional sofa beds, or can accommodate an extra Z-Bed and/or cot.

When you book a DBB stay with us we have added extra a complimentary £10 per adult, and £5 per child in your dining allowance per day and serve a children’s menu for under 7’s in The Bistro and lounges.
